A heart once full of love and light,
Now shattered into pieces, out of sight,
The pain that lingers, deep and sore,
A broken heart, forevermore.

The memories that haunt, the tears that flow,
A love once pure, now lost in woe,
The emptiness that fills the soul,
A broken heart, out of control.

The promises made, now left unfulfilled,
The dreams shattered, and hopes killed,
The love that once burned bright and true,
Now turned to ashes, black and blue.

The heart may heal, with time and care,
But the scars will remain, always there,
A broken heart, a reminder of pain,
A love once lost, never to be regained.
