That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
God cannot lie because God cannot speak. This is why God cannot come before us to speak to us directly. God has no physical form and as such, has no mouth.
