BRIGADA ESKWELA

A week before the opening of School Year 2018-2019, all schools nationwide are simultaneously holding the Brigada Eskwela. It is a campaign for bayanihan, a Filipino value which calls for the community's involvement in preparing the school for the start of classes. This has been practiced for years and it is good to note the zeal of the parents, the teachers and the community in this endeavor is ever burning.

According to one writer, education is everybody's business and that is very true. Whether you have children or not, you just get involved in affairs of the school since it is where the development of our nation starts. That is why teachers are said to be heroes because they are the molders of our lives. The greatest president in the world would not become as he is without his mentor, without passing through the four walls of the classroom.

Truly, education is very important and the Brigada Eskwela is just part of the community's share in creating an environment conducive to learning for our school children. Like me, as a student, I know my hands can significantly share to the nobility in Brigada Eskwela. Here are the photos taken during the Brigada Eskwela in our locality.
