On the whole it was a good reshuffle. Glad to see the downfall of Osborne and the dismantling of his empire.

Only seven Leavers compared to 16 Remainers doesn't look too impressive. Remainers might say they want to implement the referendum result; we must beware of an 'EU-lite' outcome

Giving Boris the FCO is a huge risk but at least he won't be dull. He will either do unexpectedly well or crash or burn.

Hancock, Gove and Boles et al were all shamefully gifted safe seats that they spend zero time in. People will be looking closely at the ‘loyalty’ now shown from the back benches.

I liked the way May changed around some of the ministries. Clearly the new Brexit ministry and International Trade brief are very necessary. The devil lies in the detail of Industrial Strategy.

Either destroy your enemies or heap them with laurels and give them difficult jobs with more than enough rope to hang themselves. Classic Machiavelli, which bodes well. We need somebody who can really play political chess like a Grand master.
