The Garden by Bundu Khan - Perfect Spot For Outdoor Lahori Breakfast

Lahori’s are not really fan of cereals, sandwiches and fruits for breakfast, no matter how diet conscious they try to be. When it comes to breakfast that satisfies stomach as well as taste buds, Halwa Poori always wins! Halwa Poori originated in the Indian subcontinent, and is noticeably famous in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Located in Liberty Market, Lahore, The Garden by Bundu Khan is indeed one of the economical and good food quality places to visit for breakfast. They serve a thaali (commonly known as plate), it’s made of steel, in which there are 2 pooris, chanay (the combination of poori and chanay is heavenly, I’m a fan!), aloo (potato) ki bhujjiya and halwa (hence the name halwa poori, but I prefer having chanay with poori so much more and some yoghurt. It’s for PKR. 250 or $2.01.

A cup of tea (chai) is a MUST have after this heavy breakfast as it helps the breakfast go down easily :D

But the entire experience as well as the ambiance complement each other. Both so good that you can’t resist going there again. However, it’s an outdoor breakfast spot, so during the summers, the crowd prefers to have breakfast indoors as this cruel weather doesn’t allow us to sit outside even for a minute.

But the place is a definitely must try for people living in Lahore or those visiting it.
