Palacio Rio Branco, the townhall of Ribeirão Preto - Brasil
The Palacio Rio Branco is the townhall of the city Ribeirão Preto in the state of São Paulo in Brasil. It is where the office of the mayor is. It was built between 1915 and 1917 is being considered as one of the most remarkable buildings in the city. It got his name from Baron Rio Branco, a Brazilian diplomat.
In 1992 the Palacio was restaured but nowadays it is again in a terrible state. Ribeirão Preto is one of the best cities in Brasil but the maintenance of the heritage is poor. Many buildings need a thorough restauration.
