The Branches With Fruits

As humans, we are designed to bear fruits. Bearing fruits connotes ability to maximize available resources and multiply effectively. In the context of the scripture, we are to be fruitful in our relationship with Christ. Thus, as followers of Christ, the life of Christ in us is the fruits expected. Our love for people is the fruit. Our peaceful disposition with people is the fruit. The joy we radiate is the fruit. Everything we do for the sake of Christ is the fruit we bear, which qualify us as the branches of Christ Jesus.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John15:5

It's a dangerous thing to be called Christ's without the fruits to show. This is because we are worthless without Jesus. In fact, without Christ, everything we do on earth is vanity, for without Him we can do nothing. Brethren, let us come into an abiding, intimate relationship with Christ. Let Him be part of us and we shall be part of Him. Let us not struggle to be nice without Jesus, for morality without Jesus is vanity. We can only be eternally relevant if we abide in Christ Jesus.

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity you have given to us to be in Christ Jesus. We come to you with total submission today, please strengthen us to remain fruitful branches of Christ, in Jesus name. Amen.
