Brainstorming a name, part 1

For the lazy ones or those who never read properly anything or the ones who don’t want to think things on their own and demand only ready answers or suggestions: the answer to the topic may be written in bold, aka Bolded words.

Prologue

When you’re thinking of starting a company, making it with your band or getting started with any kind of a group, what is the hardest part in it? Funding? Learning how to play or sing? Making it work? Knowing what you’re doing? No. As we all know all of those things will sort out itself. Money, skills, customers and associates will come if they want to.

But there is something that never comes on it’s own. It has to be thought and decided. Name. The name of your business, band, brand, trademark or any kind of hobby group. If you don’t have a name, you have nothing. You can’t even start a Facebook group if you don’t have some kind of a name to it.

Two words can also be toyed with switching the place of the first letters. Word association could also be Ard Wossociation. And if the beginning Wosso sounds too much like wussy, just play with the words more: Art Wossaciation, Art Assosiation, ArdWossa, ArtWoss,
ArtWord, WossArd.

Starting Point is exelent on it’s own if you have a business that for example helps other businesses to, well, start, but you can play with these words too. Porting Staint, SaintPort, PortStain, StarPort.

So here We go! Museing... musing to you by writing things incorrect and wrong, distorting and playing with the words and sentences. And of course mixing Finnish to everything ( --> part 2). = Finglish. Finnish words apparently are insane or somewhat (Mew Hat) hilarious to everyone else than Fins in the world. So may your next idea come from mistakes, association, incorrectness and Finland. Oh and if you invent a good name and you think it might be a Finnish word, it might be a good idea to google Finnish swear words and compare those to the word you brainstormed.

So choose a name. Any name. Just do it. You have to have a name. Clutch knew it when naming the song 10001110101 . You never know where the name you pick might take you.
