This is an excellent article. And so true.
Times are changing massively and not always for the better, unfortunately. I see the signs in my behaviour as well. I do not read thoroughly anymore, I really do just skim pages - and only if something is really interesting or valuable in my opinion, then I give myself time to read. This has to do with all those nasty clickbaiting and pure monetizing-a-website-with-ads pages out there. There is so much crap on the Internet, if I'd thoroughly read everything I'd only waste my time.
