Whyte edges Chisora in classic
After all the hype and animosity Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora delivered a thrilling fight last Saturday.
Before the fight the talk was about threatening people's life outside the ring. On the night both men fought like their life depended on it.
What they lacked in skill and technique, they made up for in toughness and heart. Both fighters took and dished out a tremendous amount of punishment. Whyte delivering the cleaner, clinical punches with Chisora delivering the heavier more hurtful blows.
This was a classic British heavyweight brawl. At the final bell the two fighters, after a bitter build up, embraced like two men that had a new found respect for each other.
They didn't embrace too tightly though. In the back of their mind they must have realised that regardless of the judges cards they would have to answer the inevitable call. Rematch.
I had Chisora just winning this clash however I cannot complain about the split decision in favour of Whyte. It was that close.
I don't know if either Whyte or Chisora were on pay-per-view points however it is undoubted that these two made the Joshua-Molina card. In the build up. On the night. Hopefully a rematch and big pay for both fighters is around the corner. Boxing may not have been the winner in the build up to this. However it certainly was on the night.
What a fight!

Agreed, did not enjoy the Joshua Molina fight. The build up to Whyte Chisora was great, shame it was not a decisive win, rematch hopefully!
I still gotta check out this banger! There were some vicious knockouts last night, N'Dam, Smith Jr., Povetkin..check those fights from last night if you have not.
