Boxer ‘Sweet Pea’ Whitaker dies after being hit by a car
This is very sad news coming from the boxing world.
Parnell Whitaker nicknamed 'Sweet Pea' by his fans is a legendary boxer who during his time won world titles in four different weight classes namely, "lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight, and light middleweight and was the undisputed lightweight champion."
Whitaker who was hot by a car while crossing the street was pronounced dead on the scene on Sunday, according to Virginia Beach local officials.
The 55 year old celebrated boxer, was Inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2006, and is widely regarded as one of the best fighters ever.
This is sad news and I just hope his family is consoled. We will miss this boxing legend and the boxing world has lost someone this amazing.
