Stone girl
Daniel Gottlieb Messerschmidt, the first Explorer of Siberia, discovered this boulder with a diameter of about a meter, in 1722 the first of the Europeans. The boulder was in the Askiz steppe, on the Bank of the river Es. On the boulder was a pattern of the face and upper torso of the girl so the local tribes called him "Khys TAS" - "stone girl".

There is a drawing of a boulder, made in 1742 by the lieutenant of geodesy Ivan Shishkov.

There is also a modern drawing of a boulder, which allowed revealing difficult-to-distinguish petroglyphs.

From the end of the 19th century to the present, this boulder is kept in the Minusinsk Museum.

I wonder where the rest of her body is, looks like the head part was removed from a much taller stone perhaps. Some of the geometry of the human form reflects the movements of the heavens. Her hair reminds me of Nut the egyptian sky arch lady. Parts of the patterns on the left kinda look like parts of the deer on the Mongolian deer standing stones. Quite a bit of information going on on boulders! :-)

At the end of the 19th century in the Museum boulder was already in this form, alas, vandals have existed at all times...

Archaeologists attribute this art to the late 3rd - early 2nd Millennium BC.
It is so impossible for me to imagine who those ancient people were!
I find it hard to even imagine how long before us they lived :-)
I see you went boulder hunting and found a prize. Stone Girl is amazing! Thank goodness she was found and is now kept in a museum so she can continue to tell her story.
Alas, the vandals had time to work on the boulder...
Aw, that is a shame! I don't understand why people would do that. So sad.
