Menhirs of Khakassia |
In the Khakass steppes a huge number of ancient menhirs. There are lonely standing stones, there are groups of stones of different sizes. Some of the most picturesque menhirs are located behind the village of Safronov.
Safronovskiy menhirs are a funerary complex belonging to the Tagar culture and were established in the middle of the first millennium BC.
Many of the stones have ancient petroglyphs on them. Birds are drawn on some menhirs.
Spirals and fantastic drawings are drawn on other stones.
To determine the height of the stone, I can serve as a scale ruler, my height is 1.8 meters.

Wow @irvet these are really great boulders! Wonderful photography of
them, such cool shapes and good sized! The petroglyphs in the stones is
most interesting! I really enjoy seeing all these fantastic ancient rocks
from your area! So much knowledge in the stones! :-)
Thank you for sharing these outstanding boulders!
Thank you @shasta. :)
These primitive monoliths are really cool! I wonder where Obelix is and why he left them there! 😁

Nice. Thanks for the info.
What an interesting collection of standing stones! They always get my imagination going!
I also like to wander among the ancient menhirs and look at the petroglyphs on them, admiring their antiquity.
