More Bougainvilleas

These Bougainvilleas are in gardens at Lightening Ridge, an Opal Mining Town in Northern New South Wales, Australia. The Silvery shrub is Artemesia ( or Wormwood for it's common name) which is a shrub with scented foliage growing to around 2 metres in height.

This one is a nice Red Bougainvillea down the road in Lightening Ridge too. There are also Double-flowered varieties of Bougainvillea which generally grow smaller than these single flowered plants. Either way, they put on a great show of color.

Wish I could visit here!!!!

Maybe you will one day, you sound like you love to travel. I visited Utah years ago, looked around some National Parks there and on the West Coast, great trip.

I do love to travel!! XD And hopefully I can go!!

So lovely. Waking up every morning to see the beauty of nature is the best feeling ever.

  • Thanks for sharing nwo.

Yeah, thats a good way to see it.

They definitelly make dry land more beautiful and pleasant to live in. Would smell them if I would be there.

Those don't have any fragrance. Just pretty to look at :)

Ha. Its like with women (just kidding;)

well i would prefer roses to sardines any day :)

They are a pleasant site to see in an area that is so dry. I would think only the hardy plants that require less water will make it on their own.

Yeah, the first one gets overflow from the water tank, so it does ok, the others are in gardens in Lightening Ridge.

interesting post!

These look beautiful! One of my favorite things about steemit is getting to see what other parts of the world look like through the eyes of the people who live there. I know I can search that on google... but there is something more authentic when you know a member of this community is presenting them.

I am going to follow you. Can't wait to see what you post next!

Thanks mate, i try to make my posts a bit different, there's more to come.

So dry, yet so colorful.
