Creepy inspiration

InspiroBot is "an artificial intelligence dedicated to generating unlimited amounts of unique inspirational quotes for endless enrichment of pointless human existence". I don't think its algorithm is actually that complicated, but it's funny to imagine an advanced intelligence churning out Facebook-level platitudes pasted on stock photos.

Some quotes are actually inspiring, while others are silly nonsense. But InspiroBot seems to be especially good at creating creepy and depressing quotes.

A second life is only for the young.

With alternative anxieties come alternative crimes.

To want street musicians means to want ghosts.
With that snowy picture, I'm interpreting this as 'Exposure kills'.

Tell your self that you're historical. Tell your self that you're memorable. Tell your self that you're obedient.

Warmth is a lie without reason.

Don't forget that everything is a lie.

Cool story! You might want to check out the computer that was built to crank out movie scripts. The star of the TV show Silicon Valley and some other actors did a short movie from whatever the computer generated. It takes input from a ton of previously rented scripts and is supposed to learn how to write one. Its pretty funny.

Yeah, that was a pretty advanced AI. I actually blogged about that movie on my robot-related Tumblr:

It’s rather wordy, but certainly more poetic than the average Hollywoord movie. I loved the tacky golden clothes and ornaments by costume designer Carol Beadle.
