What is this bot thing about?

I´m watching sometimes the new posts and some minutes ago i saw a post getting instantly 26 votes and non, or nearly non of the voter have done a post. So is there a bot voting with multi accounts to get attention?

im new to steemit but as far as i know, upvotes of "new" account or accounts with no or barely no steampower wont give you any money. am i wrong?
yes saw 2-3 posts like that and they did get nothing, just trying to get attention i think
A lot of people have upvote bots. This is a big problem for steemit. there also are a lot of comments bot, also some people with lots of steem power are looking for good writer then add them to their bot. Unfortunately I believe this is one of the many reasons steeemit will not likely be successful in the long run!
