David Ortiz blasts Tom Brady's diet as 'suffering'steemCreated with Sketch.

Two of the most iconic athletes in modern Boston history won't be getting together any time soon to pitch a healthy lifestyle.

We already know about New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's somewhat ridiculous diet. Heck, here's a cook book Brady himself is selling.

Brady and his wife, Gisele, are known for being health nuts. Their diet consists of three bottles of water after every beer, absolutely no fruits except bananas as well as zero caffeine or sugar.

My gosh, these two are self masochists. They have to be.

Well, former Boston Red Sox slugger and future Hall of Famer David Ortiz tends to agree with that assessment.

"I was born one day and I know i'm gonna die another, so I'm gonna enjoy life," Ortiz said, via Barstool Sports. "You're gonna tell me my boy, Brady, he's not suffering because of the diet?"
We agree with Big Papi 100 percent here. But to each is own, right? This one scribe will stick with washing down an IPA with some Jack and Coke, dealing with the consequences in the gym later. But I digress.

What Brady does works. He's entering his Age-41 season as the best quarterback in the NFL. He's earned eight trips to the Super Bowl, five Lombardi Trophies and three NFL MVP awards.

But that's not to say Ortiz's spin on life and health doesn't work either. Here's a guy that hit .315 with 38 homers and 127 RBI in his final MLB season back in 2016. Oh, did we mention he was 40 at the time?

Both have done what's best for them. Both work. And the two remain absolute legends. Brady comes in as the most-popular all-time figure in the SNIPdaily Massachusetts Top 100. Meanwhile, Ortiz is a legend himself. He ranks 15th in the SNIPdaily Boston Red Sox Top 20, even 17-plus months after retirement.

Live free or die.
