NEW to this
So my name is Guillermo Ortiz
I am from Mexico/USA depending on where I am.
If its Nuevo Laredo ( I am Mexican) is Mexico state TAMPS and if it is Laredo (I am American) is TX.
This might sound confusing but i do have double nationality.
IF you google the city you'll probably kinda freaking out since it is a big on killing
not for fun or anything but in the Mexican side since there has always been a big drug war going on.
Specially this border city since it's the 1 one in-land port between USA-MEX
Both cities have their ups and downs.
I mean some ups is you cross to the doctor and honestly they are better and nicer.
Upside is food as well every corner theres tacos and are AMAZING
the best upside is being able to buy alcohol after midnight in a regular gas station or OXXO( OXXO is the equivalent of a regular gas station)
I'd say best upside being able to buy bottles at half the price DUTY FREE cross them then cross them bad.
one example can be a black label bottle Johnny Walker is regularly 45 +tax more or less 49
in the UETA is 25 bucks no tax.
on a small upside note the red lights treat them like stop signs.
Downside living in Nvo. Laredo you can't be driving any car you want, especially at night time.
upside of living in American side food is great; many options.
Can be driving ANY car at ANY time of the day.
Have good bars to go out too without worrying from something happening.
Downside: bar close at 2 am and stop selling liquor at 8 or 9 pm and beer at midnight.
downside going out is way more expensive than Mexican side.
then again first post hope anyone got something good out of this ill keep you all posted of the border
