I turned off after the first 5 minutes of the first episode. I have no idea what was going on, but it sounded terrible to me. I might have not been getting the joke, but wasn't what I expected after listening to other Night Vale material.
Yeah, I recently discovered his podcast! Hilarious. You might try skipping ahead. They tend to be one of his insane stories read by a pretty good voice actor.
