Top 10 Favorite Baby/Toddler Board Books

My Daughter is almost 2 years old and as you can see she GOBBLES up Books. Our Library is ever growing because I can't feed her brain with books fast enough (which I'm not complaining about!) But because of this I've come across a lot of good, Great and Not so great books for toddlers. Here is a beginners list of her top 10 all time favs! Some of these we've read so much I have them memorized! lol

Pout Pout Fish
The sweetest short read of a Fish who thinks he's destined to be glum forever until one day he is kissed by a beautiful fish and his world is ever changed! A great rhythmic rhyming book with colorful illustrations to match. It's a NY Times Best Seller for Good reason!

God Bless You and Goodnight
This book is Adorable and Beautifully Illustrated with bright colors and darling characters. This book does mention God and Pray but only a couple of times. It does not lean towards the religious side other than that. We are not a religious family but this book is too sweet to pass up. It has become a bedtime staple.

If Animals Kissed Goodnight
This book is all about how animals would kiss each other if they kissed goodnight like humans do. It is absolutely one of my all time favorites. The Monkey's would Kiss in a Swinging Trapeze and the Rhinos Tip Tap their Horns in a Tip a Tap Rap. It's sing songy and just fun!

On the Night You Were Born
My Daughter calls this book "Born" when she requests it. It is just as enjoyable for adults as it is for children. Come to think of it Nancy Tillman has written a bunch of amazing children's books. You might also want to check out "Wherever You are My Love Will Find You". They are must haves in any collection.

Little Blue Truck/Little Blue Truck Leads the Way
These books have such a wonderful moral of helping others and showing kids that doing things faster doesn't always mean better. Both story lines are brilliantly written and flow effortlessly. Another MUST HAVE for any child.

Giraffes Can't Dance
This poor Giraffe doesn't think he can dance and all the other animals make fun of him. Until one night a cricket helps him see that he just has to find the right music and believe in himself and he quickly becomes the best dancer in the jungle! Such a sweet story and a great lesson to be learned!

Dear Zoo
This book is for 1yr +. Once my daughter became fascinated with opening flaps this book became an obsession for a little while. It's how she learned a lot of her first animal names. The words are minimal but it makes for endless toddler enjoyment!

Where's Spot
This is very similar to Dear Zoo but Spot the puppy is Missing and his Mom is looking for him all over the house. We are introduced to a few different animals in the this one than Dear Zoo and the Illustrations are a bit brighter. We loved this book so much we lost some of the flaps in the process lol

The Napping House
This book my daughter was introduced to at school closer to the age of 2. This is a very sweet book about all the people/animals that are napping in "The Napping House" and how they are awoken by a flea. This book has helped my daughter with her bedtime/napping routine. She knows now that when the lights are dim/out that we are in her napping house so it's time for sleep!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
This book is a Fabulous introduction to the Alphabet. It's sing song rhythm makes it perfect for younger toddlers or older ones trying to learn their letters. You will definitely find yourself singing the lines in your head when your child isn't anywhere near you! lol It's a catchy one!
