Nice review! I've never read the book. It's an extremely popular classic along with the TV shows and movies.
I enjoy how you added the details and explained how controversial the story was given the time-period. Back then, people were not as excepting and had narrower minds.

Thanks! :) I agree itis funny how society works while thinking itself open-minded and cutting edge. I'm pretty sure we will consider this time period in the same way at some point though.
It really is a popular choice for movies but they can't get the two main characters right at the same time! I think the best adaptation of the story and the best Jane would have to be Mia Wasikowska in the 2011 film but the best Mr.Rochester is the tv series from 2003 with Toby Stevens. Thanks for reading!
