Courage he says has the power to motivate the soul. Being courageous and brave makes one to look beyond impossibilities. Most people he says tends to appreciate bravery only when it is conveyed in movies, but when it gets to real life, they crumble at the first contraction.
Philip Baker has made us understand that courage is not the absence of fear rather; it is the ability to face our fears and turn it to fuel, pushing through till our dreams is actualized. We have to realize that allowing fear to dominate worsens problems. He emphasized that to achieve success; one must come to the realization that life involves some elements of risk. Thus, once we allow cowardice to rule over our courage, our dreams wander in the street of unfulfilment. So while fear says run, courage stops and fight.
The author is of the view that courage is the child of destiny. To become a super achiever, you must learn to face the bears, lions and Goliaths of life. He wrote about some super-achievers such as Jack Lemmon, Kris Kristofferson, Mary Kay and the rest who had strong spirit and never allowed fear to destroy their dreams. He urged us to learn from the stories of great people around us.
He discloses some positive virtues and attitudes which could help us in our journey to greatness. He talked about focus, purpose, humor and humility as those qualities that will act as a catalyst to our success. Philip Baker urged individuals to do away with negative habits and character traits which could work against our success.
To this end, he noted that courage comes in many different forms, but in whichever way it comes to us, we must grab it.
