James Joyce Reading an Exceprt from Ulysses, 1929 + Terrance McKenna on Joyce's Finnegan's Wake
Here's one of the few remaining audio recordings of James Joyce, in which he reads an excerpt from Ulysses in 1924. It's pretty incredible.
And as a bonus of sorts, here's the inimitable Terrance McKenna on Joyce's Finnegan's Wake. "If Ulysses is the algebra of literature, then Finnegan's Wake is the partial differential equation." An apt description, indeed.
