Anti-racism books have recently seen a massive spike in sales across Amazon and with other book-selling platforms. A number of popular titles are already selling out entirely. Hundreds of orders have been coming through in recent days as people look to educate themselves and find various resources that can expand their mind in new ways on this controversial topic.

Whether it be parents who are looking for books that help them learn how to talk to their kids, or teachers looking for resources on how to talk to students etc, many people are looking for that education.

Popular titles have already seen a rapid increase, jumping hundreds of sales points in just a week alone at the end of May.

A number of smaller, independent book stores are also seeing a surge in traffic to their websites as people go looking to support smaller book sellers and also black-owned businesses and book stores etc.

Dozens of popular titles are circulating right now, being frequently mentioned across social media etc, and many of them selling out with some retailers.

One of those that is seeing tremendous traffic is the book called 'How To Be An Antiracist' that is out of stock for hardcover options on Amazon. It also has a top rating with hundreds of reviews that have given feedback on the book. There are several others that are also seeing tremendous popularity right now.

From posting to social media, taking to the streets, having discussions with friends and family, or simply reading a few new books, it's clear that millions of people are dedicated to the message of peacefully working together and respecting others, at least to some extent.

This weekend most of the top selling books on Amazon right now are about race and racism. A number of folks are also turning to other resources such as podcasts to find mindful and educational information on this topic as well.

Weathering COVID-19 Losses

Since many bookstores were recently closed for several weeks because of the coronavirus lockdown, now that they are allowed to reopen and have been recently seeing this surge in business it is no doubt going to help them to get back on their feet.

A number of independent book retailers are currently struggling to weather those losses that they suffered from being closed, many of them closed for more than a month, and its not just in the United States either.

Bookstores are struggling right now and they need all of the help that they can get from their local communities and others if they are going to survive.
