Clifford’s Manners
Clifford’s manners, written by Norman Bridwell and published by Scholastic Inc... is a children’s book that focus on social emotional learning and child development. If you ask me I would say Clifford is one hell of a dog. He is a people’s pet. Clifford is definitely man’s best friend but he is owned by a little girl. That little girl is name Emily Elizabeth and she love’s Clifford to the end of the world and back. What would Emily do is Clifford had to be put to sleep? That is what they do to wild animals.
This story teaches kids manners if they look up to Clifford. It goes over just about everything a person with good manners to do only it has the big red dog doing all these things. From personal hygiene to playing with others; good manners can go a long way. If you run across people with bad manners how do it make you react? People online sometimes have very bad manners in the comments and chat rooms. Do you agree? How do a person with good manners stand up to someone with bad manners? Clifford the big red dog has an answer for that. Don’t just take my word for it go pick up the book!

........that means Norman Bridwell is teaching us that we have to learn manner from a dog? Humanity has to be learned from animal behavior!! That is insult to humanity.
NB: That is my personal opinion! Not to hurt others opinions or feeling.
Most authors who write children books, comic etc.. use animals and other things and give it human like qualities. Take for example Wolverine, Spider Man and Batman. It's a word for it but I can't think of what it is. Bears, Wolves ,fish(Finding Nemo) and the list goes on. Kids are given food products and other things from animals so they also can learn a lot from them.
I enjoy tales of animals in fables, myths, and other stories that shares a lesson or message. There are so many ways to connect ideas with people. Storytelling is my favorite.
