Thinkerspool Book Club Reader of The Month
Emmanuel Augustine (Skrypture) is a native of Nkanu East, Enugu State.
Born and brought up in Lafia. Emmanuel schooled at St James Nursery/Primary school from where he proceeded to St John Bosco Secondary School, Doma, all in Nasarawa State.
He studied biochemistry at Nasarawa State University, keffi and currently a serving Corp member in Kebbi State.
He started recognizing and pronouncing words at 8, which was a bit late, started reading almost immediately.
Emmanuel became a voracious reader, from reading the Bible which was a common literature at home, to picking up newspapers by the roadside some of which were messed up, but he still read them all the same, it was about that time he got soaked up in Mayor of Caster bridge, he didn't drop it till the last page, not even food could stop him😊, could it be that he got addicted. Maybe and maybe not.
One thing that motivates him to pick the next book, open the next page and the next, is the ability of books to serve as that ladder to get one to those heights were elders see with ones hair still dark, you can see mistakes others have made and are still making, which puts them on a negative end sometimes even without their conscious knowledge, pointed out and solutions proffered all in a book that costs nothing compared to the loss of time and resources saved.
His cravings for a community of ardent readers lead him to Thinkerspool. According to him, he said "my times here has been tremendous, from the personnel, to the activities (reviews, debates etc) to welfare, never have I been in the midst of persons of different tribe, culture, education, nationality, religion and all with so great bond, our humanity and craving for knowledge being our common ground."
Emmanuel's favorite genre is sci-fi and finance.
His best book is Man's Search for Meaning, by Viktor.
