A little bit about the book

The book is written in a diary format by both Laurence and Peter who both have separate sections within chapters. Laurence often comments on his exposure to Peter and how he grows close to him. He describes Peter in an observant manner which is fantastic because we hear a lot from Peters personal opinion so it is nice to have an outside account of how incredible the man actually was and how his life was well lived. Peter delves into his personal thoughts often contemplating his past and the eventual future for his wife and kids once he has disappeared from life. It is an intense account of how a man thinks when he knows that he is certain to die within a few months. Furthermore, it is very heartwarming when you hear all the incredible things he achieved and inspiring to hear that he get the most of out of life and was able to conclude it all with the fact that he did his very best in everything he did.

Not fade away emphasises the importance of getting everything you possibly can out of life! It is a reflection, from a cancer sufferer in his final few years of living his life, and his modus operandi for a fulfilled life. It is a fantastic read that is easy but effective and it really is incredible as you turn each page you enter into a journey of realisation with Peter Barton as he reflects on the past, the present and the future after he dies.

It is a must-read for anyone trying to understand themselves better, or for anyone eager to learn how your perspective can drastically change when you are aware of a 'date of your own death'.

Have a great weekend!

You have done a great review of this book. Come to think of it, you are the only one steenit that used #bookclub tag in last one week. This is unthinkable.

Thanks, @autofreak!

I know, I don't that the audience is there right now! But it is good for me to look back on so that's my motivation for now!

Appreciate your comment though :)

Keep it up.
