The 4 Hour Work Week was written in 2007 by Tim Ferriss was the book that brought performance guru Tim into the mainstream. The book has spent more than four years on The New York Times Best Seller List, has been translated into 35 languages and has sold more than 1,350,000 copies worldwide.

I highly recommend, if you embrace the crypto/digital lifestyle like I do, that you read this book. You have to take the book with a grain of salt and skip over the discussions about specific technology because they are, after all, 11 years old.

If you pay attention to Tim's philosophy you will quickly see how relevant Tim's philosophies are today. Tim talks about how to achieve the quality of life that we all search for.

Some of the concepts Tim discusses are:

  • How we over assign value to certain tasks and outcomes.
  • We need to learn how to focus.
  • How we can live like the New Rich (NR) if we are willing to travel.
  • Outsource
  • Simplify one's life

If you follow Tim you will see how the philosophy of Seneca (Stoicism) is influential for the development of his own thoughts.

I highly recommend you add this book to you book shelf or audio collection.
