The hot, smart and talented actress, Anushka Sharma is the only actress of her generation to have two huge money spinners in her kitty. In a short span of time, Anushka Sharma has established herself as an actress to watch out for. She received her initial break as a model when she was spotted by Wendell Rodricks in the year 2007. She then moved to Mumbai from Bangalore with the dream of pursing a full time career in modeling. But, fate had something else in store for her. After auditioning for Yash Raj films, she received her first break in Bollywood as an actress. She made her Bollywood debut in the year 2008 in the movie 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

She had a dream debut with one of the best production houses and opposite King Khan. She made her presence felt in the movie through her charm and innocence. Early Life
Anushka Sharma was a brat and was raised in Bangalore by her father Colonel Ajay Sharma and home-maker Ashima Sharma. She completed her schooling from the Army school at Bangalore and graduation in the Arts stream from Mount Carmel College. After completing graduation, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling. She enrolled at the Elite Model Management Company and was groomed by style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka made her modeling debut at the Lakme Fashion Week, where she walked for Wendell Rodricks. She later walked as a showstopper for the Spring Summer 2007 collection.

2008 - 2010: Debut and First Step Towards Success

Anushka Sharma had her dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2008 movie 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. The movie established her in the industry and critics gave mixed ratings to her performance. However, the movie went on to become a hit. Two years later, Anushka was seen in a crime-comedy movie 'Badmaash Company' in which she provided some glamour element but her performance was average. The movie did fair to moderate business.

Anushka completed her three film deal with Yash Raj Films in the same year with 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. The movie went on to become a sleeper hit and her performance as a feisty yet vulnerable girl went on to win many hearts. 2011 - 2014: Achieving Success

In the year 2011, Anushka for the first time moved away from the Yash Raj banner and was seen opposite Akshay Kumar in the movie 'Patiala House'. Her performance was appreciated but the movie did not fare well at the box office. Later that year, she again paired up with her with Ranveer Singh in the movie 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl'.
