The Decline of Bitcoin Miners’ Investment Deposits Signifies a Huge Decrease in

Bitcoin Miner Investment Deposit Decline Means Bitcoin Mining Performance Decline

The number of bitcoin mining platforms has dropped at an alarming rate since the bitcoin price dropped below $3,000. This can be seen in the chart below, which shows how many new mining rigs were added to the data center each month in 2018.

The drop in investment deposits can be explained by a decrease in difficulty

As mining difficulty increases, it becomes harder for miners to solve blocks. Therefore, they need more computing power to mine coins and make profits. However, as the mining difficulty decreases, it becomes easier for miners to solve blocks with the same computing power they had before. This allows miners to earn more than they can earn when the mining difficulty is higher. As a result, investment deposits have decreased significantly over time as fewer miners are able to fund their operations with them.
