Risk - The Game of World Domination

I played Risk tonight with a friend of mine. I haven't played in probably 15 years, and things did not go my way. Still it was fun, but it only lasted 2 hours, which is pretty short for Risk.

The cool thing was that his copy was made in 2003, but was a replica of the 1959 version. The box was made of wood.

The board was more simplistic than the version I'm familiar with. The pieces representing the armies were just colored blocks of wood.

The card designs were pretty sparse too.

Even the rules had an old time feel.

The game was still just as much fun, and it was kind of nice to play a game that didn't have plastic pieces for a change.
