There's a lot of great games available nowadays. Even WHSmiths or Waterstones (if you're in the UK) have games that go beyond the basic chase-around-the-board-scoring-points of Monopoly et al.
If you don't already know the site, boardgamegeek.com is the definitive reference site. Not very mobile friendly, but enough to answer the important question of "does it play well with X number of players?"
