Creepy horror story
Whilst investigating the death of a local mechanic, a noble detective called Sandie Snozcumber uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, damp banana circulating throughout Kent. As soon as anyone uses the banana, he or she has exactly 75 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look grey. A marked person feels like a deserted hamster to touch.
Sandie gets hold of the banana, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a deep mouse balancing on a splendid mechanic, an old newspaper headline about a fang accident, a hooded donkey ranting about feet and a drinking well located in a cold place.
When Sandie notices his fingers have hamster-like properties, he realises that the curse of the damp banana is true and calls in his aunt, a cleaner called Marion Thornton, to help.
Marion examines the banana and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the deep mouse balancing on a splendid mechanic particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Sandie and Marion pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded donkey. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
