Readers want information quick and easy. They google their question and don't want to rifle through a bunch of fluff, or unnecessary filler words, to get their answer.
Most internet readers skim the page to find what their looking for. Admit it ~ you do too!
White space is important to keep your reader on the page!

As an author I can attest to the fact a publishing house will reject your manuscript before even reading it if they do not see a good balance of white space.
