"YOU HAVE TURNED FOR ME MY MOURNING INTO DANCING; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness."
Psalm 30:11 (NKJV)

"YOU HAVE TURNED MY MOURNING INTO JOYFUL DANCING. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy."
Psalm 30:11 (NLT)

God's favour last for a lifetime. When God decides to favour, It is for a lifetime.
If you are God's beloved, He will not leave you without favour.
As God corrects His beloved child when he or she erred, so or likewise He favours such when he or she is doing the right thing.
When you pleaded and asked for God's mercy, He will answer you. If you are also humble enough to accept God's judgement or verdict on every situation, you will experience His unusual lifting.
If there is any shortcoming or issue in your relationship with God, ask for His mercy; He cannot be angry with you forever: "FOR HIS ANGER LASTS ONLY A MOMENT, BUT HIS FAVOUR LASTS A LIFETIME! WEEPING MAY LAST THROUGH THE NIGHT, BUT JOY COMES WITH THE MORNING" (Psalm 30:5 NLT).

In walking with God, one of the key things that would enhance your walk with Him is being flexible or bendable in His hands.
Be flexible in God's hand, accept His judgement or verdict or conclusion in every situation and comply with His directives.
One of the things God would not want is argument, proving that you are right—this could be seen in Job's words to God in his time of distress. He was trying to prove the point that he was being unjustly or maliciously treated by God causing him to be passing through the predicament he was passing through (Job 9:17,18).
When your ways pleased God (Proverbs 16:7), you can present your request, whatever you want, to Him.
You can also negotiate with God for your blessings, or that of whoever you are standing in the gap for, with humility. This is what Abraham did whilst he was pleading and supplicating for Sodom and Gomorrah; he was at the same time negotiating with God that the entire people or populace be spared and forgiven if He could get a certain number of the righteous ones (Genesis 18:23-33).
This supplication or pleading could be done for yourself or another person or a group of people (Ephesians 6:18). With humility, simplicity, flexibility, and a heart ready to accept God's final say or judgement.

In presenting your request or need and the negotiating for it, you must do it with humility and flexibility, in which you would know in your heart that you are ready to accept God's offer If He was not willing to give you what you are asking.
You can come before God as a son or daughter and make a request but not with desperation and agitation (Matthew 7:9-11).
Your request should be with flexibility; you should be able to tell God that If He knew that what you are asking is contrary to His will or plan for your life, you are ready to accept whatever could be His Will or plan for you.
Many believers miss God in the place of rigidity. It is my prayer that you will not miss God in Jesus' name.

When you made a wrong and foolish decision, wanting to stand on what you want, being adamant, without the willingness to shift your ground; If God is not in full support of what you are asking, you put yourself in captivity.
God sees such adamancy as a pride and would not consider your request until you have changed or bowed to His will.
Note:
• You cannot give God conditions with which you want Him to do whatever you are asking.
• You cannot box God in, tell Him the way and manner which He should answer your prayers (2 Kings 5:9-14).

When No is good as an answer and should be accepted!
There are times which God would say No to your requests, not because of hatred, but because He has a better plan for you which may be hidden to you at the particular time.
There are times, some things a believer craves may be harmful and not benefitial for the believer's physical and spiritual upliftment and his or her relationship with God; in such a situation the believer's request might not be granted.
God reserves the right or prerogative to answer a prayer, or not, to Himself alone.
He can choose not to answer a prayer or grant a request based on the love He has for you, when He knows that granting such a request would not be beneficial to you.
However, If you pressed or bothered God beyond necessary, He may permit you to have your way, give His permissive consent or will, but it would not be without a serious consequence or repercussion.

God wants believers to be flexible.
At times If I was persistent in getting something and it seems the thing is not coming forth, I used to tell God that If you knew that what I was asking for would not be good for me, do not do it, I am ready to accept or embrace your will.
I want to have it, but I prefer your will. If what I was asking is not your will, I forgo It, let your will be done.

What is shared or explained here is the flexibility I am talking about.
Do not be rigid that you might not miss the best of God for your life. It is when flexibility is embraced that your mourning can be turned into Joy.
Peace.
