Content in a contest
So I've been trying to think of new and interesting contests week after week to help spark and inspire your creativity. One of the ideas I look for are usually 'out of the box' or even better, if it incorporates other mediums. Over the past few months into creating contests, we've gone from writing fairytales, captioning photographs of your own feet, and even writing your own jokes.
Well, this time around, I thought I would let you guys create a CONTEST idea and I will pick 1 to be used! I don't want this contest to just be @jaynie's or my contest but I would love to get everyone here involved because we're a family.
So whip out your thinking cap and craft that contest!
Contest-ception
Criteria :
1. Make sure you provide a full working detail contest description.
2. For example, include criterias and ways of submission.
3. I would judge based on the creativity/never seen before contest and how 'usable' it is for ALL types of people. Example: some people dislike selfies, so we need to work a way around that.
4. Explain that this is a 'contest for a contest' so that Steemians who sees the post don't actually participate even before it's launched.
5. The rewardpool budget for your contest is 6 STEEM.
Submission :
1. Your Entries(Post)are to be posted here in the #steemitbloggers-contest Channel.
2. One Entry are allowed per participant.
3. This contest must be done as a Steemit Post.
4. Post title must include 'Steemitbloggers Contest'.
Rewards:
Selected Entry will win a whooping 6 STEEM!All other entries get 1 STEEM

Seeing that the holiday season is really near we have only TWO entries but amazing ones at that. Thank you @mattifer and @manoldonchev for taking the time to plan and craft these contest ideas out. I know it's never easy to create your own contest but I hope that it was worthwhile for you both.

Pants Off Dance Off by @mattifer
Contest Sypnosis
You simply put your favorite groove song on, and then record a video of you dancing your pants off! No actual disrobing is required to enter, but is permitted nonetheless. No full nudity please. If you are the shy type, you are welcome to submit a story or poem (I'm looking at you @quillfire) about a time that you danced your pants off. If you love the camera, but don't have the moves - you are welcome to record your pet dancing its pants off.
In short - find a tune that inspires you and shake your bootay!

Contest Sypnosis
There's something that bugs me here... Often we read that short content is bad content. Not quality. As if we're posting money here - their best quality is their quantity, you know.
The problem is this is a social media and it should be able to compete with other social medias. Which means users who can use it. And on a global scale too few people can afford to write long posts and read long posts. So our efforts may continue sinking into oblivion.
While a photo and a few words are considered low effort. Well, that would depend on the photo and the words, wouldn't it?

I personally LOVE these two contests. Both are of very different types of contest. For @mattifer's one, I can't wait to see what creative people would come up with to interpret and record the 'dance your pants off' video. Things can get pretty wild :P
And for @manoldonchev's contest, I agree that we often judge that the least words are of lower quality but then again, there is truth to 'Saying MORE with LESS'.

Jen ... the pressure is increasing to ACTUALLY do it ... isn't it?
You've painted yourself into a corner ... people are now pining to actually see this famous/infamous Pants Off, Dance Off. You've played with fire ... and now the house is in flames.
Matt is saying, "Hey, babe ... I'm not a blogger. You're on your own. My pants ... are staying on." But the audience is chanting, "Pants Off! Pants Off!"

You know, Matt is a great sport. He will be the first to drop trou and shake his groove thing. He does a mean chicken dance, if you know what I mean.
