On A Decentralized World Government

Sup, mates and girls who get called "bro" in here.

SO, I've been thinking. Governments are basically organized mafias, right?

They ask for your money in exchange for protection, once there's a dispute among parties you go to them. If you don't pay for their favors they go to your home and armed guys take you by force. When they slack on their work another mafia emerges to fill the void and provide the services they are not giving you.

We've been doing this system, where finding ways to produce more work in less time with fewer resources is the second most profitable thing to do. The first one being capturing the resources from the previous group. We've done this through slavery in the past, now we have machines that do the work for us, and governments that tax us that have those machines.

The here comes Bitcoin. A revolution in trust where everybody can reliably contribute to the system. No need for governments.

But if anything is true in this world is that violence is that new boss is same as old boss.
The reason governments are created is that of criminals.
This space is filled with criminals. You can't blame them. They need the last tech available in their competitive race with getting doing whatever the hell they want and not getting caught.

This also means there's nothing as profitable as becoming a hacker nowadays. They just take your stuff in exchange for nothing.

We get too complacent and forget the actual reason small and powerful governments have thrived. They are the hardest hitting motherfuckers in town.

So what's lacking in this environment is someone who can hit the hackers and provide services in a decentralized way. A new kind of mafia. In this space, those are the white-hackers. Unfortunately, they are not enough. Before world governments start intervening we might need some Bounty hunters.

Now THAT's an ICO I would like to fund. Chasing criminals and providing a valuable service. That's just cool. Well, that's supposing there's nothing inherently wrong with the current system and that hackers are in the wrong. Who knows.

Whoever can make the punishment rain from the sky in this space will get all the riches it has to offer.

Sort:

Until you can make programs that will do it for you, probably not a good idea. Power breeds corruption weather you call it government or not.

Hackers are the government at the moment. We want it or not they are the rulers of this place.
The thing is they offer almost nothing in exchange for it.

Government is only good in stories.
Dark secrets of so called great personalities have been revealed many times after years of their death.
Democracy is a well marketed flavor of autocracy.

It's true. Power is inherently abusive. Now if this space continues to grow some sort of public intervenor is set to appear eventually. I'm not saying is good or bad. Just that is gonna happen.
