The measurement system can be done in two ways, ie manually or by using instrument / tool. The instrument system is divided into two, namely by mechanical and electronic systems. Electronic instrument system broadly divided into 5 basic parts, namely: tranducer, power supply, signal conditioner, amplifier and recorder.
The transducer is the leading part that is directly related to the measured object, while the power to move the system is provided by the power supply. The physical changes of the measured object are then changed by the transducer into electrical quantities (generally having very small changes). After going through signal conditioning in the signal conditioner, then a very small electrical signal is amplified in the amplifier for easy processing and monitoring. For simple electronic devices, the output of this amplifier is generally directly connected to the display unit such as a pointed needle, sevensegment or liquid crystal display (LCD). Whereas in automatic electronic devices, the amplifier output is then connected to the recorder unit for recording (eg paper papers, printers, data logger or computer). In modern electronic devices, this unit recorder is also equipped with software for controllers and data processors so that the resulting output will be much better and more informative. Output data is then used for analysis or emitted when the tool has been equipped with a transmitter unit as in AWS.
