De laatste dagen is in België de heisa bezig over schilden & vrienden na een reportage in Panorama is het kopstuk van de vereniging in een diep dal terechtgekomen. Hij is afgeschilderd als een racist. Is zijn plaats op school kwijt en is geschorst. Als het waar is wat er in de reportage gezegd wordt sta ik hier volledig achter. Maar hoe kan het zijn dat mensen en instanties iemand al veroordelen gebaseerd op enkele hun mening.

Ik dacht dat in onze rechtstaat er een heel belangrijk concept was. Niet schuldig tot het tegendeel bewezen is. Wat je hier ziet in de reportage is dat ze nog maar beginnen met al een vooroordeel. Een universiteit die actie onderneemt vindt ik goed. Maar moeten zij hun studenten niet beschermen tegen eventuele vooroordelen. Moeten zij de studenten niet ondersteunen en vormen. Hoe kan je een student vormen als je hen buiten stuurt door een reportage waarvan je onmogelijk weet of deze het hele verhaal is?

Als we gaan kijken naar hele situatie met een kritisch oog komen we tot de constatatie dat de handelingen die genomen zijn aantonen dat er een marxistische, postmoderne kliek aan het hoofd staat van de universiteit. Die liever een student op straat gooit dan naar alle kanten van het verhaal te luisteren. Dit is een perfect voorbeeld waarom onze scholen achteruit gaan in het kritisch denken. Je volgt de stroom of je wordt zonder pardon uitgesmeten.

We kunnen ons de vraag stellen wat de reportage maker hiermee wilde bereiken? We zouden kunnen denken dat zijn motief was om een groeiende beweging te stoppen nog voor het groot genoeg was.

Van mij krijgt Dries Van Langenhove zeker steun tot dat het gerechtelijk dossier afgerond is. Pas dan zou iemand een mening mogen vormen!

Shields & Friends de actions taken by some

First for those who do not know Shields & Friend is a Belgium yought movement who are all about freedom of speech and are on the far right of the spectrum.

In Belgium there was a documentary about the leading person and because of the docu the leader of the band lost his place at the university. The Uni kicked him out without hearing his story and just plainly believing what the docu said. The docu painted a picture of a racist bigoted group of people. They started the docu with a prejudice about the people in the group. How can you call yourself a docu maker when you start off with a idea and the only thing you want to achieve is proof your point.

I thought a state like Belgium would uphold the concept of law. Innocent until proven guilty. How can a university that teaches law kick out one of his students on the basis of a docu? I thought a university is a place of teaching and a secure place in the world for people to have opinions and talk about those in a controlled environment. But I guess I was wrong. How can you as a Uni decide to throw out a student without even hearing the students reply to the docu?

I can explain it very simple. Because the faculty is a Marxist Postmodern bunch of leftist who can not cope with a 25 year old student who believes in the right spectrum. They rather throw out someone than actually talking about the ideas he has and going in debate. A school should talk to its students and form them in the thinking minds. If a school acts like they did here I wonder about the educational principals it upholds.

We could think, wonder what the documentary maker wanted to achieve with his docu. I believe he wanted to stop a growing right movement before it even got launched. Because the ideas of the group where right on the money.
