It has to be said.

With the shooting today in Alexandria, Va. some people take the opportunity to make them selves look more ignorant than normal. Take a look at the twitter post linked in the story here. I find it amazing that people are so wrapped up in politics that they are willing to take other peoples lives (or attempt to). And when something like that does happen others make jokes about it or celebrate it.

Take some time and think about how much Washington actually effects your day to day life. It is actually very little. Sure arguments can be made but it is honestly very little. People get wrapped up in the news. It is the news anchors job to make you think these stories and what is going on in Washington are bigger and more important than what they really are. Why else would Fox news start every show with "This is a Fox news alert" or name your favorite new show same thing.

At the end of the day we are all people and all have families and people who love us. All of our lives are important to someone. And making jokes or saying someone deserves death or serious injury because they vote differently than you or don't believe in global warming or what ever the political case may be. Just shows how far apart we have grown as a society. If things don't change soon things will only get worse and we will look back on these shitty times as the good ole days.
