Why I do this test?

Because I saw a lots of huge capacity memory cards selling with very cheap price. Ya, PRICE is important and also first image when we buy things. Cheap thing not all low quality but sure no high quality. So, I tried to order a 256GB memory card and gave it a test.

I'VE TRIED TO MAKE SOME RETOUCH ON THE PICTURE BECAUSE THE FAKE CARD HAS PRINTED BRAND ON IT.

Running test

Let's see the result that I run with H2testw. It can support English interface. It can do write and verify. I've spent more than 24 hours to finished the test.

Very low write and read speed. Write: average 3.81 MB/s. Read: 8.98 MB/s. It's far to reach 90MB/s of write/read as indicated on the packing. After verified the written data of 256GB, only 14.6GB passed the verification, and the rest, 235.4GB marked as data lost.

OK, I still assumed that maybe some problem while I'm running the 24hours test. So I do manually copy and paste a file with size around 4GB to it. And rename it one by one. I've pasted 9 times into the card. 37.2GB of files being written into it. Looks quite good.

But, when I tried to read the files.......it shown...CORRUPTED....Yes, some of them can't be read.

Conclusion

Too cheap memory card will give you headache. You better spend same or a little more to get a memory card which match the price. This is totally a RUBBISH compare with a 16GB memory card, at least the 16GB memory card won't make you 2XXGB data lost.

This is not a professional test. Just a simple test for own study. Any error please forgive me.

这是一个相当无聊的测试。自从我听到我朋友很廉价的买了一个256GB的OTG 给他的苹果使用时，我就断言那根本是个忽悠。当时也没想过自己会无聊到真的去买了一个来进行测试。下单前，还真的逛了几个网站，比较一下价钱，挑了便宜又大碗的来下单。几天后，东西到手了。拆开，一眼看到那包装，哇靠！真假。封包都没对准，列印都不清楚。（明知假货还这么挑剔）直接剪开，更扯，普通的记忆卡应该都会包覆在一个透明，上下可以合在一起的包装里面；它是只有一面，直接卡上记忆卡就好了。把卡片拆下来，那红白列印也是印得够可以得了， 跟我自己上色一样了。算啦，开始测试。装上附送的转接卡，插入笔电读卡机。 咦？读不到？ 再换一个它附送的sd卡读卡机，靠，垃圾！同样读不到。那时候我还怀疑是不是内建读卡机坏了， 还去找了一张SD卡来测试，结论是，读卡机没问题。后来怎么可以读得到？用了一个很久没用的USB读卡机读取。花了超过24小时来完成写入和核对。结论如上面所分享。

这个故事告诉我们，

没事不要浪费钱做测试
