A Week in Independent Publishing

in #blog7 years ago

Wow, what a week we’ve had (again!).

This week we finalized Issue 5 of Camp Out Magazine. This issue has turned out to be our favorite so far – it’s funny, sexy, and the photography is amazing. It’s a Halloween themed issue where fetish icon Masuimi Max reads “Tales of Terror” – a series of “stories” that all end up with the protagonist’s clothes coming off.

On Wednesday we definitely upgraded our business transportation – new graphics on the cargo van! Thanks to Sign Pro in Plover, WI for the excellent work. We’ll be cruising to events in style now. I think my favorite part of having our website emblazoned across our Ram Promaster is the thought that someone will buy a high-end photography book from a website they saw on a van. Hurray for art lovers!

He likes it!

We designed a few flyers for an upcoming art exhibition by our author Claire Seville. Her work (including the beautiful book “Stocking Seams & Lipstick Queens”) is being featured at Centrala in Birmingham, UK this November. Here’s some of the promotional artwork we put together:

And the biggest news this week is that we’ve completed and released the cover for the new book by Cherry Dollface, Dollface Vintage: An Everyday Gal’s Guide to a Vintage Lifestyle.” YAY!!! The books will ship in December, but are officially on pre-sale as of today (check out our website!).

Loving it all! Just had to resteem!
Lovely eve to you :)

Awesome man. You are an inspiration to the struggling artist. Love the van. Keep up the good work. Resteemd and followed.

Thank you, I appreciate that! I still feel like a complete hack almost every day.

I love the 2nd promotional artwork - lipstick queen.

Thank you! I love how that poster turned out. I would definitely go to that show!

This brings me back to my days as a sign maker in West Chester, PA ... so many vans were lettered... so many. But not for anything as cool as an Indy publishing company!

Thanks! We're really just nerds with a cool van.
