Eat the CRAB out of everything at AMPHAWA FLOATING MARKET

What's up Steemians ! Last week, I took my 2 American friends to the floating market that’s pretty close to where I live. The market called ‘ Amphawa Floating Market ‘ and the reason why there? The market offers lots of lots of Thai food we love ! Pad Thai (of course! LOL), Tom Yam, grilled seafood, boat noodle soup, noodle soup in the coconut shell (whaaaattt.t??) and other rare items you couldn’t find elsewhere, anything you name it.

There’s this type of food at this exact same shop I have to get it every time I go to Amphawa floating market. Not sure what it’s called in English but in Thai “ปูกะตอย(pronounce ‘Pu ga toi’)”. It’s this little crab they deep fry and season with sweet and sour sauce.

They’re so small that when you deep fry them, the whole thing get so crispy and yes, you can eat that whole entire thing! Yummmm ! 😀

This one I ordered both small crabs and small shrimps. Deep fried bergamot leaves and chili also came in the portion. Eat them all together is just so so so freaking good with all intensive herbal, spicy, sweet and sour flavours in one bite.

FLOATING MARKET DAY AND NIGHT
It’s not just a normal market you could find elsewhere. It’s special and I love it for its uniqueness. There’re a lot of places offer accommodations at reasonable prices so you could enjoy the river vibes overnight.

Imagine how awesome it would be to wake up with the water flowing, beautiful bird singing and the authentic buddhist temple sounds..

Boat tour
Many temples around on different islands along the river. During the days, locals offer a 1-2 hr boat tour to those places for 50 Baht and also night time for 60 Baht to watch the fire flies.. romantic ❤❤

'Maeklong Railway Market'
An interesting market nearby
Not so far from Amphawa Floating Market, there’s a very unique market called ‘Maeklong Railway Market‘. UNIQUE? The shops set up on the railway and every time the train passes by, all the seller quickly wrap up their shops just in seconds. Just like that, all day, everyday. Interesting, huh? 😀
