The Power of Nature - Aegis Strife.jpg

How often have you become so caught up in your life that you forgot the last time you really embraced the outside world? When did you last disconnect yourself from the plugs automating you through a life of robotic repetition and obedient answering of commands? When was the last time you got out into nature?

The earth, the trees, the rain, the wind, the sun, the soil, the sand, the ocean, it quite literally feeds us. It feeds us in the physical sense of providing food, but what is so often forgotten is the food it provides for the mind and the soul.

There is so much nature can heal, so much nature can cleanse and renew.

For some people it is obviously not a plausible idea to be amongst nature all day every day, but what is possible is taking time out to ground yourself in the natural environment. The stresses, the agitation and the frustration of everyday life can often dissipate relaxing amongst the pure essence of the earth. The resilience and power of nature is insurmountable.

As nature feeds us, we must too feed nature through respect and love. Now you don’t have to become a hippie and sell your car and grow dreadlocks and sing songs around the campfire. What you can do is realise just how magical and important this earth is and treasure it. Treat it as though it were something you never wanted to harm nor disrespect, treat it as something you love.

So when you have some spare time, sit in the sun, walk in the rain, feel the grass, the sand under the soles of your feet and feel the embrace of nature. Nature is an ever-changing entity here to be worked with, together as a unified existence of a sensory delight.

Thank you for a very capturing photo and true words spoken. Even though staying on the outskirt of the city, I make it a point when waking up at 5 am to listen to the song of the birds, when I drive I love to look at the formation of the clouds and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It rejuvenates my soul, lifts my spirit and motivates me to look more positively at the day.

You're welcome :) that sounds beautiful!! Keep up the positivity.

The reason why we feel connected to nature is because we are literally made of the same stuff. Nature sure is ever changing just like life.

Spot on. It's just a way of re-connecting with ourselves in the truest sense.

This makes me excited for spring hiking! It is amazing how refreshing a walk through the woods is.

Such an amazing feeling. Enjoy your hiking!

Balance is key. Love me a big city as well.
