Dream on Dreamer (Original Poem):

You can always spot a dreamer from a crowd

Feet hovering over the floor

Head up in the clouds

Here but not here

More there than they’d ever dare to share

Sometimes I close my eyes and we meet in another land where our minds freely intertwine

In the dreamscape we bounce from bubbles of spongey spheres

Carelessly able to fall without broken bones or pain-stricken moans

Travelling afar and boundlessly as we move so fast we leave light behind

We must balance delicately on the edges as we cautiously carry ourselves into memories

Mesmerised for eternities down our endless dusty shelves

Our pasts enclosed in brittle glass cylinders methodically lined up

Some are shattered

Some are tipped over

Some are filled to the brims and are pleading to be let out

The dreamscape is our refuge

“Do we ever have to leave here my friend?”

Until we meet again

Daytime dreamer.
