Witness Update
I climbed around 10 ranks today and that progress will stop from now on because I will need around 70K Steem Power votes to get to the next rank.
This is getting harder and harder and I am hearing all kinds of depressing shit from witnesses not in the top 20.
I don't even want to talk about it anymore I have heard it enough.
Just look at the top 50 witness list, they get all the votes, most people don't even know there are more than 50 witnesses.
Then they vote for dead positions, buy votes from whales... it doesn't end here.
I hope to reach break-even and then I am happy, I actually wouldn't mind to stay break-even because I am achieving my goal like that, I am stabilizing my workplace and getting more involved with the influencers on this platform.
Training
Today was chest & biceps day and I took Modafinil today. I am not sure if that was the reason that the lifts were easier or because the creatine already kicked in I have no clue.
The workout was great.
Diary
I woke up at 8:30 today which ain't good and took a modafinil. After that my brain stopped overthinking so much and was pulled more into the process which is always great.
I think that helped me today when I was lifting. Modafinil gives you some kind of tunnel vision so to say, you are more concentrated.
Besides that I am gathering votes and not all people say yes, some just bluntly say No and that is no damn problem for me.
You cannot be liked by everybody.
You guys see me climbing hard but I can tell you that will slow down dramatically from today because I need Orca / Whale votes to do big jumps from now.
And getting their votes ain't easy. So it will be a long road into darkness...
Most witnesses not in the top 20 seem depressed with the witness system and I simply don't like that mindset but I can totally understand it because there are some very unfair things going on like I mentioned above.

Well just my suggestion, listen to others but don't let it seep into you. Everyone is having their path and you would not know what efforts they are putting to reach to the next level. You have faith in your capabilities and keep moving with your efforts consistently then whatever happens take it sportingly. Unfair things are happening all around but don't get succumb to other;s negativity. You will pave your path through with your efforts my friend :-) My support is with you :-)

Kind of sad that top gets it all but isn't that also occuring in every other discipline? E.g. sports, top players gets all the sponsors while the others can't sometimes afford better equipment.
I hope somehowe steemit community will come with solution to this problem.
You are right, almost nothing in life is fair, that "unfair" thing is just a test of life to see if you got what it takes.

That's my issue with steemit sometimes, people forget other people need support, instead they go for the big boys at the top top giving them all their support, and really forget the people who needs the votes all because they want favours and upvotes.

I just checked and i have 14 witness upvoted in the top 50 and 7 in the rest... but it's basically because i haven't seen other witnesses that much on steemit, i know you are a witness and that flauwy is thinking about being one, but i don't know about others... They should get more exposure!!
But to be honest, i think that as long as you and other non-top20 witness break even at the end of the month, or even make some money it's worth, passive income is always good! Even if that passive income is only a couple of bucks, remember, 1 STEEM now might be 2bucks but maybe in the future, 1 STEEM can be 100 bucks!!

They should create a witness voting list that shows all active witnesses.
Being a witness is not easy, and this very fear that is occurring to you has deterred me from acting as a widness. Besides, I'm missing a lot more followers and prestige than you.
But someone like you will make it through time and also be successful in the long run as a witness.
