The Most Controversial Pakistani Models
In the world of showbiz, even bad news is good news. We only hear about certain people when they have been naughty, not nice. Such has been the case of these Pakistani models, who came into the limelight when they were bad, very bad. They gained attention not for their work but for something unrelated, entirely. Take a look at these Pakistani models who got famous for the wrong reasons.
QANDEEL BALOCH
It seems Pakistan has its own Poonam Pandey in the form of Qandeel Baloch. This Pakistani model has promised to perform a strip tease if Pakistan beats India in the World T-20 match on 19th March at Eden Gardens. Qandeel, who claims to be a big Shahid Afridi Fan, posted a video on Facebook in which she has promised to bare it all if the team beats India.
NARGIS FAKHRI
Half-Pakistani Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri received a lot of flak for a mobile brand’s ad that was featured on the front page of Jang, the most widely circulated Urdu newspaper in Pakistan. In the ad Nargis is shown lying flat on her stomach, holding the phone in one hand. The brand, Nargis and the newspaper were much criticized for objectifying women and breeching Islamic values. One Pakistani woman blogger, however, suggested the brand could only set things right by featuring a male model this way.
Pakistani Models Who Made the News for the Wrong Reasons
VEENA MALIK
Controversy’s favourite child, Veena Malik has always made sure that the media never runs out of business and for that she has been working quite hard. She is quite consistent with staying in news. The Pakistani model has a long list of controversies to her credit, even before she came to India and participated in the reality TV show Bigg Boss. Who can forget her ‘137 kisses on hand in one minute’ stunt? And wait, the list not over yet. Reportedly she got her body painted by famous artist Vesa Kevinen. She did not stop here; she also posed topless for the movie Zindagi 50-50 and for an FHM magazine cover. Her biggest controversy by far has been her relationship with Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. She accused Asif of having multiple relationships with models and bar dancers and also of match-fixing.
