Are You Visual, Kinesthetic or Auditory?

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

As most people already know, man has five senses that it uses to relate to the world: smell, taste, touch, vision and sound. In general, we tend to use one or two senses more than the others to communicate with our surroundings and get information from them. Do you want to know what kind of person you most use? Read with here.

How do you relate to the world?

This theory is based on neurolinguistic programming, which tells us that the world we live in is experienced differently from person to person. Each of us understands the world through the sense we use most according to our personality.

It's an interesting perspective that's worth keeping in mind, to understand yourself a bit better. It is possible that you use more than one of the five senses. It is also interesting that this perspective has to do with the dominance of your brain, which means that for example, people who use the left side of their brain are more likely to use logic and are more in need of order.

On the other hand, if you mostly use the right side of the brain, you are more creative, flexible and innovative. Neurolinguistic psychology deals with these areas to find out how people interpret the world around them. Do you want to know what is your natural tendency? Let's take a look and find out if you are a visual, kinesthetic or auditory person.

1. Visual personality

Are you one of those who need absolute silence when studying or studying? It is very normal that people with a more visual dominance need silence in order to concentrate. It is also possible that while driving, listening to relaxing music is good, but if you are looking for a particular address or need to be more aware, you will choose to turn off the radio to be more calm and focused.

This type of people has a lot of energy and is extremely observant. They appreciate details and almost never miss anything. When they need to remember things, it's easier for them to remember pictures, which is why they, for example, need notes to help them. They like parks or forests to relax and for their peace.

2. Audit personality

Do you tend to say what you think? Some people may be surprised by this little special habit, in fact, there are many people who do. You say things loudly, speak to themselves and are therefore also able to better vent their thoughts and control them. If you have an auditory personality, it is also common for you to listen to other people. In this way, you can better remember things, for example, just listening to a person's speech without writing much down.

There are also men with very expressive personalities who have good communication skills. They know how to express themselves in a good way and also like to listen to others. They do not miss anything and, for example, are able to follow a conversation and listen to music at the same time. Unlike visual people who are struggling to concentrate when there are many stimuli around them, auditive people are able to do many things at the same time.

3. Kinesthetic personality

What are your hobbies? Do you like to work with your hands? Are you a good cook? Do you build things with your hands or work outside? Do you have a garden and like to plant things and make them grow? Do you like sports? If this is the case, you most likely have a kinesthetic personality.

According to neurolinguistic programming, kinesthetic people, although peaceful, have a hand to feelings and especially anything that involves physical or manual things. It's the kind of people who like to experience things, instead of hearing about how to do it. Their expressiveness is translated to their delight by hug, nose and even eating. They are intimate people who generally do not have much interest in capturing the details in their surroundings, unlike visual people. They are more spontaneous and less introspective and observant.

We can conclude this article by telling that it is very possible that you are a percentage of each type. This is normal, but it is certain that you will be able to identify more with one of them. For example, visual humans are a little more relaxed than auditive or kinesthetic people, which in turn is a bit more restless and less reflective.

I really appreciate this good work @tradwwonk, are you a psychologist? Thanks for this education

My pleasure! No but it interests me :-)

Great post. I'm also interested in psychology that's why this post really is a good read.

Sounds good! Thanks.

I'm definitely a visual person! :) Neurolinguistic programming sounds very interesting. I will search for more info! :) Thanks for sharing this with us. Upvoted and resteemed!

Thank you very much, appreciate it!
