3 THINGS EFFECTIVE PEOPLE HAVE IN COMMON

in #blog7 years ago

Have you ever considered why there are some people who get a lot of hand and are super efficient and others who just talk about everything they want to accomplish? And have you thought about which category you belong to?

Do not worry - if you belong to the less effective part of the population, and you actually want to change it, you can still do it. It's never too late to trade their dreams! It's just about getting started. Now!

Of course, there may be some effective people out there thinking about "that does not fit me". It's also all right. Nevertheless, I want to share my thoughts here, because I hope that it can inspire others to become more effective! Both you want to be more efficient and you already effective. Because there's nothing so nice to be confirmed in the right direction :-)

Here are at least 3 things that I find that effective people have in common:

Effective people know what their goal is.

Maybe (preferably) have they even written it down. Have you ever tried to make a list of goals for the coming year? Or just for the coming month? Or maybe for the next 10 years? Something happens with the brain when you set a goal. It's as if the dream stops being fluffy and takes shape as something you can work towards. And that's whether the goal is to save up on your dream trip to Bali or to write a book. A goal makes you take yourself more seriously.

Effective people are starting now.

I know that I will return to this again and again. But that's right. There are very few reasons that justify waiting for you tomorrow or Monday or two months when you have time to go deep. The likelihood that you do not have time is too big. It's much better to get started and do the best you can now and then (even if you only have limited time) than to stay forever. There is actually something true in the word "good start half finished"!

Effective people prioritize their time actively.

We all have 24 hours a day to do well and we need to sleep, eat and work a good deal of the time to work. It gives us a more or less limited time to work towards our goals. If you find it hard to find the time, try looking at what you really spend your time on. For example, try to write down every three hours for what you do. Look at it afterwards and thought about it. Do you really want to spend so much time on Facebook? Is it wild and elongated cooking you want to prioritize? Do you need to clean the bathroom every week? I'm not saying you need to shut up the cleaning and buy take away every week. But if you know what you really spend your time on, you better prioritize your goals and the things you think are important and who knows maybe you can find 30 minutes here and here to reach a little closer to your goal ?
