Hungarian Sea Balaton

There is no better rest for me than rest at the water. But the water can be different. I want to share with you my impressions of Lake Balaton. The Hungarian Sea or whatever it is called, Lake Balaton, is a huge lake in western Hungary. The main feature of the Lake Balaton is the quality of its fresh water. This lake is filled exclusively by mountain springs. Even if you just stand on the shore of Lake Balaton, your body will receive energy recharging for the whole day. I like to go canoeing on its crystal clear water. On the perimeter Balaton has a length of up to 200 kilometers. Its total area reaches 600 square kilometers. The average depth is 3-4 meters, and the maximum depth is more than 11 meters.

Each family has its own habits. My wife and I prefer active rest. And the best place for such a rest is Balaton. I break the entire perimeter on an average of 40 kilometers per day (two 20 kilometer distances before and after lunch). And we set out on the road: I'm by the water, my wife by the shore. She has an important mission! She arrives by car at point of destination, chooses a camping and sets up a tent. And waiting for me.

And I appear. Of course, my physical condition depends largely on the weather (for example, if the wind, then I'm tired more), but the mood is invariably excellent! My attentive wife offers me a watermelon, which I gladly eat, and we go swimming together.

My wife always says that she will not exchange our tent on Lake Balaton, even for the most chic hotel!

I safely recommend Balaton to everyone for family holidays. I must say that there are special campsites for those who came with a dog, and around Balaton there is a bicycle path.
